Growing Melica imperfecta as a Houseplant

Just an update here: this Melica imperfecta has been growing entirely indoors under grow lights for a couple of months. It is growing in 100% pumice and it receives diluted Foliage Pro at every watering. It’s almost two feet tall now. It is a really attractive houseplant, too.

It turns out you can grow some California native plants indoors as houseplants. Just make sure you get their growing medium right and they should flourish.
